Hemp Cream for Pain - Aromalief

Posted by Aromalief Team on

Everybody is talking about “weed”, and it’s not just the teens. If you are in pain, there are several Hemp Cream for Pain options. In this blog post, we want to cover some of the basics of Hemp, Marijuana, Hemp Seed Oil, THC, and CBD to help you make a more informed decision about the Hemp cream for pain that is right for you.

Industrial Hemp vs Marijuana what is the main difference?

All hemp creams for pain contain the Cannabis Sativa plant. Just like there are different varieties of oranges and apples, there are also different varieties of the cannabis sativa plant. They are grown for different purposes and the two largest groups are Industrial Hemp and Marijuana. It is important that you understand these differences to stay on the right side of the law while getting pain relief.

The key difference between hemp and marijuana is that marijuana can get you “high” and hemp cannot.

Marijuana plants are cultivated and often genetically modified to increase the percentage of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the psychoactive substance that causes a change in cognition and gives people the effect of feeling “high” usually through smoking it and in some cases by ingestion.

The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 is what recently allowed the sale of industrial hemp in all 50 states and removed hemp from being a controlled substance. This has made it legal to use hemp and which is why you are now seeing them in many products.

Hemp Seed Oil

Industrial hemp does not have THC and it is grown primarily for its oil, seeds, and the plant itself to make textiles like ropes. Hemp Seed Oil is taken from the seeds of the plants and it is full of Omega 3 and 6 which are great for reducing inflammation and can be eaten in foods. Because it is safe to consume and has absolutely no psychedelic effects it is available for everyone to benefit from it. Hemp seed oil is legal in all 50 states.

THC

THC is extracted from the leaves and stems of the marijuana plant and is what causes the psychedelic effect. Marijuana is illegal in several states or available with a medical prescription in others. It is considered a schedule 1 drug and will show up in drug tests at work.

CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is another chemical component found in Cannabis Sativa. Even though CBD is not psychedelic, there are still regulations about it that limit its distribution. There is also the risk of getting CBD with THC because CBD is extracted from the same parts of the Cannabis Sativa plant and separated through an isolation process. If you do decide to buy CBD make sure it's from a reputable source so that you don’t run the risk of having THC in your bloodstream.

Why does Aromalief Hemp Cream for Pain have hemp seed oil and not THC or CBD?

There are strong regulations around THC and CBD, which would greatly limit the ability to reach people that are in pain. We made a decision to have hemp seed oil for its anti-inflammatory properties, but also to add ingredients such as Glucosamine to help with joint health, L-arginine to improve blood circulation, and MSM to reduce swelling. This gives our customers the greatest amount of relief without any of the negative consequences such as testing positive in a drug test. We know that what our customers want is NOT to get high, but to find relief from their pain and that’s what we do.
